Quth Minar - Am imposing building dates from Islamic Rule onset in India, and are fine examples of early Afgan architecture. Qutb Minar itself is a soaring `Tower of Victory' that started in 1193, immediately after the defeat of the last Hindu Kingdom in Delhi. It is 73 meters in high. The tower has five distinct stories and each storey marked by a projecting balcony. First three stories are made of red stone and remaining two stories are made of marble and sandstone. Try to visit this place on weekdays, as weekends can get crowded.
